Japanese coming of age ceremony

Japanese coming of age ceremony is held for 20 years old in second Sunday in January.
People who came of age can drink alcohol or smoking in Japan.

Many women wear Kimono or Furisode. Many men wear Hakama or suit.
These are very beautiful. But the Kimono is very expensive.
Almost women go to the hair salon to set up their hair.
After the ceremony, people often gather in groups.

And people enjoy talking about the past.
This ceremony will be important for them because it become treasure in their life.

Christmas Sweets

I’m going to talk about Christmas sweets in Spain.
There are mainly three sweets in Spain. For example, Porvolone, Turron, Roscon de
Reyes.


Porvolone was born in Andalucia of Spain. Porvolone known as “Sweets bringing happy”. Porvo means “Powder” in Spanish. lone means “Spills” in Spanish. So, Porvolone is the sweets which are easy to spill.


Turron is very sweets and nougat sweet. Nougat is sweets mixed with nut. Generally, Almonds are in it. But, there are many kinds. It’s traditional sweets.



Roscon de Reyes likes pancake. Roscon means “Cake of ring shape” in Spanish. Reyes means “The three kings” in Spanish. It is said “Cake for king”. Generally, There are eaten in January 6. These sweets are displayed in every shop in Christmas season.
